Baptism

Baptism is an ordinance of the church by which those who have repented and come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour, express their union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection, by being immersed in deep water in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a sign of uniting with a church of like-minded believers, and a picture signifying death to the old life of unbelief, and a new life as a believer in Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
